FAQ

Where are you located?

I tattoo at Paradise Tattoo, which is a private studio in Portland, Oregon!

Can I bring a guest to my appointment?

Yes, you may bring a guest! It’s preferred that you only bring one guest. However, it’s totally okay to come in a group of three or more if we’ve already discussed it, and/or if you’re all getting tattooed that day!

Are masks required in the studio?

As of February 2024, masks are optional in the studio. However, I will be wearing a mask for our appointment and I encourage you to do whatever is most comfortable for you.

How do I know when your books open?

Normally, my books are always open for the current month! I’ll announce my books opening for the next month on Instagram about 3 weeks out. If you’d like to get direct updates regarding my books opening, and any other tattoo information, you can sign up for my monthly newsletter! You can subscribe on the main page of my website, or by emailing me at mchristytattoo@gmail.com

What’s the benefit of signing up for the newsletter?

My newsletters go out the second Friday of each month, and will include information about my availability, as well as any updates about stickers, shirts, events, etc. I also include one newsletter exclusive flash design each month, which is only available for those who are subscribed!

What is your hourly rate?

My hourly rate is technically $100 an hour with a $125 minimum. However, I do a set price for all of my flash designs, and also will give you an estimate for your custom tattoo!

How do I book a custom tattoo?

You can fill out a custom inquiry at the bottom of my “booking form” page. Additionally, you can email the details to mchristytattoo@gmail.com

What details should I send in my custom inquiry?

You can send a description of the design, any reference photos, preferred size and placement, and availability. My custom inquiry form on my website unfortunately does not have a space to upload photos, but you can email them to me once I respond to your inquiry!

Do you allow clients to use numbing cream?

For certain scenarios, yes! Please just ask me beforehand, to make sure your design will be suitable to use numbing cream for. I would also prefer to know the brand you’re using as well. Please always do a test patch on your skin the day before your appointment, and make sure to not drink caffeine while using the numbing cream!

Can I book a touch-up for my tattoo?

Yes, touch-ups are free! Please fill out a “touch-up inquiry” on my “booking form” page, or email me a description of your tattoo and your availability to mchristytattoo@gmail.com and I’ll send you the booking link.

Do you re-work tattoos by other artists?

Normally, I do not re-work tattoos by other artists. However, there are always exceptions and if I think I would be a good fit for your scenario, I may be able to help.

Do you do cover-ups?

Again, normally no. Most of my designs have a lot of negative space and are not suited to cover up an existing tattoo. If the tattoo you’re looking to cover-up is very small and/or light in color, I may be able to help design something to cover it up but please email me before booking an appointment!
